Project Need | The Pharmacy HIT Collaborative has noted that the Pharmacist/Pharmacy Provider EHR Functional Profile has not been implemented in the pharmacy industry. One reason identified was that the scope of the profile spanned community, long term and post-acute care, and inpatient. The Collaborative developed a guidance document (subject of this ballot) from the profile focused on community pharmacy practice. HL7 endorsement of the Collaborative's guidance document will allow the Collaborative to engage several pharmacy system vendors in implementing the Pharmacist/Pharmacy Provider EHR Functional Provider. |
