DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Knowledge Artifact Specification provides guidance on how to specify and implement shareable CDS knowledge artifacts using XML.  The scope of the specification includes event-condition-action rules, order sets, and documentation templates.

DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND

This DSTU Update replaces the expression logic component of the HeD Schema with the Expression Logical Model (ELM) component of the Clinical Quality Language (CQL) Specification.

In addition, functionality was introduced to align the representation of Documentation Templates with the Structured Data Capture form representation.
