HL7's Standards Licensed At No Cost

On September 4, 2012, Health Level Seven International announced their intention to license HL7 standards at no cost. Then on March 4, 2013, we provided more details about our plans.

Now, the wait is finally over. Health Level Seven International is proud to announce that our primary standards and other select products are now licensed at no cost. To download HL7's standards, start by using the "Standards" navigation menu at the top of any page on the site, or click through to one of our commonly-downloaded standards from the list below.

Please note that the no-cost license for HL7 standards includes some restrictions on how the standards may be used and distributed. A license that allows a more broad variety of uses is available to people and organizations with an HL7 membership. More details can be found in our IP policy.
