List Server Regulations and Rules of Conduct

As a vendor-neutral organization, HL7 prohibits the use of its list servers to announce, advertise or endorse companies and/or vendors and their specific products, services, and/or events. This policy helps maintain a cooperative, open and non-competitive environment for the development of our standards. HL7 would prefer that conversation which denigrates or promotes specific vendors be avoided. In addition, HL7 will not tolerate the use of any profanity on the lists and failure to comply will result in a remove from our list services. We ask all list server participants to respect this policy and the other list server subscribers. Those who cannot respect this policy will be removed from the HL7 list servers.

Viewing List Service Archives

Since the implementation of our new List Server, there are a few features that have changed. Updates have been made, for example, to the footers for all emails sent through the list server to accurately point to archives and unsubscribing. If you want to access the archives for a given list, and you know the list name, you can go directly to that lists archives by going to:

http://lists.hl7.org/read/?forum=[name of list service goes here]

  so, for example...

http://lists.hl7.org/read/?forum=bloodbank

This technique does not log you into the list server, just gives you access to public lists and will usually be enough to get to where you want to be.

HL7 List Services

Please pardon our dust. We are updating the HL7 List Services interface to improve the sign up process and to help provide better security. The new interface will be up no later than noon on Friday (1/5/2007).

Thank you for your patience in this matter.
