Job Title: Deputy HL7 FHIR Product Director
Operational - Facilitate balloting, issue resolution, application of changes to the specification, and publication of FHIR releases - Help develop and inform agendas of relevant governance groups within HL7 (FHIR-Infrastructure, FHIR Management Group, for example) - Facilitate the development and tracking of FHIR community-related metrics for presentations, reports, and other summaries - Coordinate updates and support to HL7 terminology services for the FHIR community - May assume project management responsibilities (depending on the projects)
Technical - Work closely with the FHIR Product Director to identify, track, and help resolve issues in the FHIR build, validation, and publishing infrastructure - Assist and coordinate maintenance and enhancement of FHIR development infrastructure and related software, including the IG Publisher, FHIR Validator, online validator.fhir.org service, terminology services, registry.fhir.org, and other related software - Using available tools and data sources, monitor and help ensure quality of FHIR resources, profiles, and examples throughout specification lifecycle
Strategic & Business - Engage and manage volunteers, consultants, and contractors, as needed - Support the development of community governance, policies, and guidelines - Work with the FHIR Product Director to develop and update the product development roadmap - Support the FHIR Product Director in ensuring that organizational and sponsorship leaders are updated on the status and direction of product development - Review trademark usage requests - Deliver training materials appropriate to different stakeholder audiences - Assume Product Director duties when the FHIR Product Director is unavailable - Represent the FHIR Product Director in community meetings as directed
Content Development - Providing training, system-level and user documentation for FHIR development infrastructure and related software - Develop and curate documentation and other media to support onboarding and pathways for advancement within the HL7 FHIR community - Contribute to HL7 social media presence and community communication (e.g. chat.fhir.org) - Contribute to planning FHIR-related content for programs, events, and other activities
Engagement & People - Recruit, mentor, and develop community contributors, members, and leaders - Help promote and enforce HL7 values throughout the community - Promote productive behavior among community members

They have great "servant leadership" skills and are adept at working with a global perspective.
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus 3+ years prior experience working within a professional technical environment Experience as a program or project manager in health information technology, standards development, software development would be preferred.

Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst - Interoperability - Remote
BASIC FUNCTION: As a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Informatics and Interoperability), you will research, define, and recommend interoperability requirements and approaches for Clinical Surveillance & Compliance (CSC) applications. CSC products directly integrate both hospital healthcare data from external sources into the applications, and end user application workflow into customer electronic health records.
This role is responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of current integration approaches in the healthcare industry and executing research to ensure CSC products are using the most efficient, effective, and secure approaches to integrating with our customers. You will work directly with product management to understand the business case driving interoperability requirements and with the application development teams in an Agile framework to craft requirements into “development stories” that will deliver integration that meets customer requirements. You will support product roadmaps and ensure deliverables are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide expertise on HL7 v2 and v3. Maintain ongoing awareness of industry developments in interoperability capabilities – as it relates to FHIR and SMART on FHIR applications. Understand and leverage alternate integration options as needed, such as processing of CSV files, to meet product roadmap goals. Develop and communicate a data integration and interoperability strategy to align with CSC business objectives. Collaborate with Surveillance portfolio leadership and Technology management to assess potential roadmap items against integration options and determine the best approach to interoperability requirements. Conduct customer research as needed – both interviews and data analysis – to understand feasibility of integration options to build recommendations for how to meet the business goals Craft interoperability requirements into “development stories” that will deliver data processing that meets customer requirements. Act as product owner for interoperability development teams Write data integration specifications
Required Experience: - 3 years of Health IT data management experience - Experience in acute care hospital clinical setting or managing systems that integrate with the clinical workflow in various electronic health record systems. - Experience with HL7 and FHIR transaction formats - Experience integrating applications across organizational and system boundaries. - Experience analyzing healthcare data using data query tools like SQL or scripting tools like Python. - Experience working with clinical subject matter experts to elicit product requirements for a healthcare setting. - Experience developing strategy and presenting new ideas to business stakeholders.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Knowledge standards and code systems such as LOINC, RxNorm, SNOMED, ICD-10. - Experience with Agile software development process, including experience decomposing product features into small units of work with requirements detailed as acceptance criteria and daily close interaction with product analysts. - Experience with requirements management and project management required to deliver complex projects. - Background and/or education in the healthcare industry with specific knowledge of hospital information technology preferred.
