HL7 CDS Hooks: Patient-View Hook, Release 1

DESCRIPTION

The CDS Hooks Patient View Hook Definition defines a hook for implementation as part of a CDS Hooks integration that occurs when the patient's chart is opened. This specification can be reached at https://cds-hooks.hl7.org/hooks/patient-view/STU1/patient-view/, as part of the overall CDS Hooks specification.

DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND

The patient-view hook was initially defined at the same time as the CDS Hooks specification. Hook definitions are intentionally separated from the CDS Hooks specification itself to support definition of new and changed hooks without updating the base CDS Hooks specification. The patient-view hook has undergone extensive testing and implementation as part of FHIR Connectathons as well as multiple pilot and production implementations.
