DESCRIPTION
Using Payer Data Exchange enables payers to publish Financial and clinical data to Consumers and other payers using US Core clinical resources and additional profiles that are specific to the payer community and not available in US Core.

DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND
The Implementation Guide has been developed with the support of the HL7 Da Vinci project.
The use case enables the exchange of clinical data held by payers to consumers and to other payers, under the direction of the consumer. The exchange can be to a consumer application by the consumer utilizing their HIPAA Right of Access to share their data.
