HL7 EHRS-FM Release 2: Immunization Functional Profile, Release 1
DESCRIPTION
The HL7 Immunization Functional Profile (of ISO/HL7 10781 Electronic Health Record System Functional Model) describes functional characteristics and conformance criteria supporting immunization management and administration in clinical practice. This includes functions for interaction with immunization registries, for immunization history and forecast, for reconciliation of immunization administration over time, for immunization (vaccine) inventory management, supplements for patient educational material, adverse event recording and reporting and more.

A total of 57 use cases/user stories were used as the basis for specifying EHR system functions and conformance criteria, including a diverse set of scenarios from the HL7 Immunization Domain Analysis Model (4), the HIMSS/CDC Immunization Integration Program (47) and the NIOSH Work and Health Program (6).
