DESCRIPTION
The HL7 Blood Bank v3 Standard – Universal Realm is a messaging specification intended to standardize the electronic transmission of information between system application components in a Blood Bank setting. While this is Universal Realm generally, there are no constraints or requirements that are specific to any realm.

The Blood Tissue and Organ Project developed these specifications lead by Diana Perez and Patrick Loyd with specific industry expertise provided by Patti Larsen and Pat Distler.
