HL7 Version 2.4 Messaging Addenda

DESCRIPTION

This addendum is provided to add clarity to implementations of the HL7 version 2.4 messaging standard which choose to follow guidelines for implementing the standard with an XML encoding.  This addendum does not affect implementations of the HL7 version 2.4 standard that use the traditional "|" and "^" encoding.
