January 2019 Working Group Meeting
Network, learn and influence interoperability!
Network, learn and influence interoperability!
HL7 International Working Group Meetings (WGMs) are held three times per year at varying locations and serve two important purposes:
HL7 International has more than 40 work groups dedicated to specialized areas of interest such as Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR) Infrastructure, Mobile Health and Electronic Health Records. These work groups are directly responsible for the content of standards and spend much of their time at WGMs hard at work on standards development. Attending a WGM is a great way to learn about a particular area, and everyone attending a WGM is invited to any of the work group meetings.
Educational sessions will cover a full range of HL7-specific topics such as Version 2.x Implementation, Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) and the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA®), among others. Sessions also branch out to cover general interest industry topics such as Electronic Health Records, Interoperability, Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) and Vocabulary Terminology.
FHIR Connectathons are a two-day event of hands-on FHIR development and testing held in conjunction with Working Group Meetings. This event provides a great opportunity for implementers and developers to gain hands-on experience developing FHIR-based solutions by participating in one of many available tracks. To learn more about the FHIR Connectathon, visit wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Connectathon_20
The HL7 FHIR Connectathon now includes a new C-CDA Implementation-A-Thon (C-CDA IAT) track. The C-CDA IAT track helps implementers work to reduce inconsistencies in HL7 Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) implementations across the healthcare industry. Attendees will collaborate on clarifying C-CDA document creation questions as well as engage in exploratory sessions designed to bring clarity to less defined or emerging data representation in C-CDA. To learn more about the C-CDA IAT, visit confluence.hl7.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=5996832
Learn how to implement HL7 FHIR at this two-day, hands-on FHIR workshop. The program blends theory with hands-on activities so that students are able to apply what they learn throughout the experience.
The first day is devoted to evaluating and applying the base FHIR standards through hands-on interaction with FHIR servers. The second day focuses on reviewing and utilizing the FHIR implementation guides. Students will work with the US Core (Argonaut) and Provider Directory Implementation Guides. Learn from our expert faculty:
