Thank you to NCQA for co-hosting this event
What is the Digital Quality Summit?
The Issue: Currently, most existing health information technology systems that record, aggregate and analyze health data work well, but they often don't work well together. And although most agree that quality measurement facilitates and encourages high-value care, measurement can be a burden on time and resources.
The Opportunity: HL7 and NCQA are partnering to host the Digital Quality Summit-gathering the best and brightest in health care and technology to demonstrate methods for eliminating measurement burdens and bridging the digital gap. This two-day event brings together key players to demonstrate emerging technology standards for quality reporting. Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) standard will play a major role in breaking down barriers to interoperability. Clinical Quality Language will harmonize standards between electronic clinical quality measures and clinical decision support.
The Plan: This is not the typical conference of presentations and PowerPoint slides: This is a summit. Plan for interactive work sessions, networking with peers and hands-on demonstrations. Teams will work with specific quality measures to solve data challenges and demonstrate solutions. You will learn how IT can increase the efficiency of quality reporting and reduce the burden of data collection.
This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to:
-
Understand how information technology can be used to increase the efficiency of quality reporting and reduce the burden of data collection and;
-
Participate in demonstrations of digital measurement solutions designed to advance interoperability, facilitate communication and improve quality.
The People: The Digital Quality Summit is an informative opportunity for a variety of stakeholders:
-
Quality improvement experts
-
Senior executives (CIOs, CMIOs, COOs…)
-
Measure development experts
-
