As you are aware, we have recently
opened the May 2008 Ballot cycle (closing on April 28, 2007). This notice
is to ask for your participation in the membership ballots that are currently
underway. We are asking for your help in order to meet one of our policy
requirements addressing balance of interest in our membership
ballots.

Seeking Balance
in the Consensus Group
Concurrent with the opening of the ballot period, HL7
Headquarters shall review the consensus group to ascertain if a single category
of membership constitutes a majority of the group. If a disparity is
found, HL7 Headquarters shall engage members of underrepresented categories
seeking their participation in the consensus group. A record of such
action, if it proves necessary, shall be part of the ballot
record.
As the ballot has only been open ten
days, pool membership is still too low for us to predict the balance of interest
in the various membership ballot consensus groups. Still, we would like to
solicit interested members to join the following ballot
