The HL7 GForge HelpDesk is intended to provide general support for individuals wanting to use the HL7 GForge site. It is your primary point of contact for any technical questions related to the use of the HL7 GForge. The HL7 GForge/SVN platform is hosted by the GForge Group, LLC.   • Yes. The HL7 GForge is available to the public most of the time.

2.3 How do I get my username and password for the HL7 GForge?

2.5 How long does it take for a project to be created in the HL7 GForge?

  • Usually, it takes about three (3) business days for the project to be created in the HL7 GForge.

2.8 Do I need a new user account for the HL7 SVN Repositories?

  • No. You can use your HL7 GForge account to log-on to the HL7 SVN repositories.

2.9 How can I access the HL7 SVN Repositories?

  • You can now access the HL7 SVN repositories by using a URL of the format: http://gforge.hl7.org/svn/*projectname*. You should replace the *projectname* with the name of your project. For example, if you want to access a project called saeaf in the HL7 SVN repositories via TortoiseSVN, Subclipse, Eclipse or IBM Rational Software Modeler, then you will use the URL: http://gforge.hl7.org/svn/saeaf.

2.10 Is there an expiration date for my HL7 GForge account?

  • There is no expiration date for your HL7 GForge account.

2.11 Does the HL7 GForge support anonymous postings?

  • No. The HL7 GForge is configured to disallow anonymous postings. You must be a registered user before you can submit postings.

2.12 Is there a listserv that I need to subscribe to in order to receive bug postings?

  • Yes. With the exception of Work Group projects, all projects registered in the HL7 GForge are configured to use the generic listserv: homebase@lists.hl7.org for tracking purposes. Users subscribed to this listserv would be able to receive all updates and submissions of Bugs, Support Requests and/or Feature Requests. Work Group projects are configured to use their assigned/default list services.
