A comprehensive EHCR architecture has been utilised as the information model basis of an XML DTD. This will be used as the methodology for exchanging complete healthcare records between several R&D prototype systems, within real clinical settings across Europe but with limited initial datasets.
The underlying architecture (and the DTD) represent the complete information hierarchy
within any potential EHCR, down to the level of individual data values, and build on many
years of published research.
See http://www.chime.ucl.ac.uk/HealthI/SynEx/ for additional details.
Intended for ambulatory care environments.
Project has been underway for from one to two years and is considered to be at the prototype demonstration stage of development.
